Local EventsRamsey town has many local events and some of them consist of charity fundraisers. At these events all of the town works together to make it the best they possibly can. At Christmas time the whole town decorates the shops and there are lights all around the town. The regular events that take place are: Ramsey Christmas lightsThis is an event that takes place in the centre of Ramsey town near the clock. A famous person is usually invited to turn the Ramsey Christmas tree lights on. This is made into an event by the amount of people that gather around the tree.
Ramsey Bonfire nightThis event takes place at Ramsey school where tickets are sold to see the fireworks and to have the other usual facilities available to them on a the 5th of November.
Ramsey fun runThis takes place from Ramsey Ailwyn School and is an event to raise money for charity. There is a selected course and the idea is that you get people to sponsor you to run the course.
School ProductionsSchool productions are an event where anybody can go and watch. There is always a good show and the tickets are reasonable price.
Fishing matchesFishing matches take place upon Ramsey St Mary's river yearly around summer time.
Pub quizzesPub quizzes and similar games are feature of most of the pubs within Ramsey. Also televised football matches and breakfasts are a feature when important football matches are on.
Ramsey FeteThe Ramsey Fete is usually held on the grounds in front of the Ramsey Abbey School and the Ailwyn School.
