More information about the organisation that manages this location

The Great Fen Project aims to create a 3,700 hectare fenland habitat between Peterborough and Huntingdon merging the existing National Nature Reserves at Holme and Woodwalton into one giant reserve.

In addition to providing a haven for wildlife and rare fen plants, the project will create a massive green space for people, opening new opportunities for recreation, education and business.

The Great Fen Project is a partnership between the Environment Agency, Huntingdonshire District Council, The Middle Level Commissioners, Natural England and the Wildlife Trusts. You may get additional information by following the link above to the project website.
