A brief description about Abbey College (Ramsey)

Abbey College was formed by the amalgamation of Ramsey Abbey School and the Ailwyn School. The new college was awarded the status of a Technology College in 1999.

The college occupies the site of the former Abbey of Ramsey the only major surviving element being the gatehouse which is now a National Trust property details and pictures of which are displayed on this website, however other parts of the college occupy Abbey House which was constructed over the remains of the abbey some of which were incorporated into the building.
